Q: How long does credentialing actually take?

Most commercial payers issue an effective date in 60 to 90 days; Medicare often moves faster at 30 to 60 days. Delays are almost always caused by incomplete documentation, so we front-load the intake to avoid them.

Q: Can we bill for services delivered while credentialing was pending?

Sometimes. Several payers allow retroactive billing back to the application receipt date. We identify which of your payers permit this and flag the window so revenue is not left on the table.
